Nidera is a privately held company founded in The Netherlands in 1920. We have strong roots in Europe and Argentina and have subsidiaries in 22 countries. Our main activities include the trading of agricultural commodities and ocean transport. Other related activities include the operation of elevators, processing plants, and vegetable oil refining and bottling. In Argentina Nidera is also engaged in the R&D of agronomic seeds and in the handling of a wide range of agricultural inputs.
As the international trading arm of the global Nidera group, Nidera Handelscompagnie B.V. trades a total of almost 20 million tons of grains, oilseeds, vegetable oils, oilseed meals, feedstock, bio-energy products, and ocean freight. These products are procured in the major producing areas of the Americas and Europe and then sold to customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Our customer base is made up of the milling, oilseed crushing and compound feed industries, as well as bio-energy producers and distributors, and regional food manufacturers. We are the link between farmers and consumers.
